Webinar: The Role of Sports in Combating Racism and Anti-Semitism @ register at: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZwpcuChqzsoHtMX7A1DrIy9Uul0quZCWvZ9

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. taught that people should judge, and be judged, “based on the content of their character, not the color of their skin”. We need to refocus on these principles in general, but particularly around relationships between African-Americans and Jews. What lessons can we learn from the world of sports about combating racism and antisemitism? What is happening today in sports and beyond, and what more could we be doing? We will be led in this discussion by Mr. Marcus Allen, the Chief Executive Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters in the Greater Philadelphia region and a former professional basketball player, and Coach Bruce Pearl, head basketball coach of the Auburn Tigers basketball team who lead his team into the Final Four NCAA College Basketball Tournament in 2019. This program is sponsored by The ALLIANCE, a non-profit organization dedicated to “Building Community By Building Trust”.
