I pray for your mind to leap with joy, as you comprehend the riches of our faith. May the reading of the scriptures open our eyes with utter simplicity, which was once obscure, be obvious and plain to us without a doubt. I am in awe of God’s riches at Christ’s expense. It should remind us of the cost of His grace. God’s unmerited favor toward man cost Christ His life. The Scriptures say, “But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowed with glory and honor; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man” (Hebrews 2:9). Jesus tasted death for you and for me Paul wrote: For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lust, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works” (Titus 2:11-14).

As Christians we are rich today because of the price paid by Christ at Calvary (Ephesians 1:3, 7: 3:7-11). Let’s be good stewards of the manifold grace that has been shown to every one of us (1 Peter 4:10). How can you and I do any less, considering the awesome price that God’s grace cost Christ?
Christ has died
Christ is risen
Christ will come again!

“Let us proclaim the riches of our faith!”
